Our Eco Team are always looking for ways to achieve our Global Goals. Their latest initiative is to help save water and combat climate change. One of the ways they would like to do this is through meat-free Monday. On 28th June we will have vegetable curry, cheese & vegetable bakes, cheese & onion roll or egg mayonnaise sandwich as dinner options. Eco Team would also like to encourage packed lunches to go meat free for this day too if you wish.

This week we have had a focus on music.
EYFS have enjoyed music sessions with Mrs Meredith.
KS2 children enjoyed a visit from TVMS. Listening to high quality, real life performances is really important.
Year 6 composed their own pieces of music using the glockenspiels and three notes (A, B and C). They then wrote lyrics to express their identities and added them to the music.

Today children from Nursery to Year 6 have taken part in a football tournament. This included three different events that developed different football skills.

In class children have been using their geography skills to find out about different countries that take part in the Euro football competition. To showcase our learning each class is decorating their classroom door to reflect the countries they looked at (and in a covid friendly way) to allow other children to see some highlights of each country.

Today EYFS released the butterflies. We had watched the full life cycle and were pleased to see the butterflies fly off.

On Monday and Tuesday children through school got the opportunity to have a Judo taster session. This was a fantastic opportunity and children across school enjoyed this activity.
